Lesson #100: Recap and Thank You’s!

Wow. We’ve finally reached it, Lesson #100! We’ve covered so much so far; from the very basics in Lesson #1: Saying Hello, right the way up to Lesson #99: Aati Kya Khandala where we looked a popular Bollywood song. Along the way we’ve seen just about everything you can possibly think of. But of course, our journey is not over yet!

We’ve learnt how to say I Love You, laughed a Hindi Joke about a Banana, watched Popeye in Hindi and we've began to look at Urdu, Hindi’s sister language. We’ve even learnt about some very grammatically tricky Hindi concepts like the word अपना apnaa in Lesson #52. But this is only a tiny fraction of everything we’ve covered!

One of my main priorities for this site is to keep it as simple to read and as easy to navigate as possible. I want you the readers to be able to find lessons as quickly and get straight into learning! That’s why the lessons are divided up into several main sections…

Firstly, the Introduction Section. If you know nothing about Hindi then start here! This basically breaks everything down and tells you what Hindi really is and it gives you a bunch of hints on learning.

Next, the Vowels Section and the Consonants Section. In these sections we (unsurprisingly) learn all about the Hindi letters, which are split into Vowels and Consonants.

Next we have Conversational Hindi Phrases. This is will teach you some great conversational starters that you can use every single day when you meet someone!

After that we go to the Beginners Grammar Section. This will teach you the main rules of Hindi and how to create proper sentences. Don’t worry though, it’s all explained in a simple, fun and straightforward way! If that isn’t enough for you we even have a Intermediate Grammar Section where you’ll find lessons on even more complicated things!

And those are just the main ones, we also have a Quiz Section, a Links and Reviews Section and an Urdu Section. Another useful pages the All Lessons where there’s literally a list of every single lesson so far!

So that was a bit of a whistle stop tour of this site. Don’t forget there’s the Navigation Section on the left hand side of every single page where you can easily access all of these pages. Please let me know if there’s anything I can do to make this site easier for you to use, just leave a comment below!

I also wanted to use this opportunity to thank every single one of my readers. I’ve consistently amazed at how many followers, views and hits I get. Webhits and page views have continuously been growing at an incredibe rate to which I am so, so grateful. Take a look at this graph…    image

(Sorry that it’s a bit hard to read) It shows the number of visits to this site each week from the 4th of September 2010 to the 19th of March 2011. Each dot represents a weeks worth of visits. Look how much it’s grown! We’ve hit way over 50,000 page views now, which I know in the grand scale of things is nothing but to me it’s so amazing and I’m so proud. I just really want to say thank you to everyone and anyone that reads this. All your comments, emails and thank you’s really make me so happy.

So thank you so much everyone, बहुत धन्यवाद bahut dhanyavaad. And I’ll hopefully see you all very soon for Lesson #101!
