Can you imagine this for me… You and your friends are sat around and you’re talking (in Hindi obviously!) trying to make plans for next week - you want to go out to the cinema together. Now there’s a problem, you won’t get very far with this if you don’t know the days of the week in Hindi! So this is what we’re going to cover today, ready? 

Days of the Week in Hindi is, as you might have noticed from the title, सप्ताह के दिन saptah ke din - Literally this is “The Week’s Days”. 

सोमवार   somvaar  -  Monday

मंगलवार   mangalvaar  -  Tuesday

बुधवार   budhvaar  -  Wednesday

गुरुवार   guruvaar  -  Thursday

शुक्रवार   shukravaar  -  Friday

शनिवार   shanivaar  -  Saturday

रविवार   ravivaar  -  Sunday

Got it? It can take a while to remember them all so try not to be put off if you can’t memorize them all straight away. Try writing out some flashcards if you’re having problems remembering them, write the English on one side and the Hindi on the other and keep testing yourself till you get it perfect!
